When my husband and I were engaged to be married, we heard a lot of the "say goodbye to your sex life" teasing that everyone hears, but we never thought it would apply to us. While dating, our sex life was very low-key. We had sex a few times, but we mostly tried to limit ourselves to oral sex (for whatever it's worth, that was our Christian compromise).
We got married in 2009 and at some point toward the end of our first year being married, we both recognized that our sex life was getting "boring." I kept thinking to myself: "Is this what everyone was talking about? Does sex always go downhill after marriage?" But part of me is very stubborn, so I made it my personal crusade to end boring sex.
